PORTRAITS OF THE HOMELESS
While the artist, Vieve Forward, was resident in Davis House Salvation Army hostel in Swindon, she mounted an Arts Council England funded exhibition of portraits of her fellow-residents. These paintings, drawings and photographs were accompanied by stories of how each individual came to be homeless and ended up living in a hostel. Their portraits are shown below with the full, written permission of each subject (click on the thumbnails to read their stories).
